MD Properties - COVID-19 update

Dear landlords,

These are difficult times indeed and we will all have to adapt to carry on. We at MD Properties are trying to make as few changes as possible and yet keep everyone safe.

  • If you have a property on the market with us, we will endeavour to protect all concerned in view of the present situation. We will try our best to ascertain the health of any prospective tenant to make sure that they are not taking germs into your property. Equally so if there are tenants still residing in the property, we must be sure that they are healthy or not in the at risk category before we take anyone to view there. We are offering video viewing only.

  • Inspections have been postponed until further notice to help to reduce contact amongst us all.

  • Rental payments will be processed as normal. We have asked tenants to let us know if they have difficulty in paying the rent as soon as possible and reminded them that you too have expenses to pay. We will monitor this situation carefully.

  • Gas safety certificates will be carried as normal unless the tenant is unwell or we receive further information from the government, of course you will be kept informed.

  • Maintenance will only take place where possible, if there is an emergency. This is for the safety of the tenants and contractors as it will reduce the risk of too much contact, particularly for the most vulnerable of our tenants.

  • Electric Periodic Reports, as you know, should be arranged before June 2020 but at the present time, this is not been carried out. The government have been lobbied to relax this date and we will keep you informed as to the outcome.

Support as always is our number one priority and we at MD Properties are here for you. Daily meeting are taking place and as the situation changes you will be informed and updated with any news. If anyone wishes to speak to one of the directors please do not hesitate to call
