MD Properties is an independent family run business established for over 30 years, based in the heart of Stafford Town Centre. Overseeing the running of the business is Managing Director, Izabela, alongside co Director Robert who originally founded MD Properties in 1992.
Izabela with her husband Jarek bought a majority stake in the company in 2016. Having moved to Stafford in early 2010 and falling in love with the Town, they decided to stay here and raise their twin girls.
MD Properties has gone from strength to strength and the business has expanded quite considerably in recent years and now employs seven full time staff and two part time staff.
A note from Robert
I started the business in 1992 with my late wife Diane. The MD name came from our surname (M)acfarlane and (D)iane.
Diane initially ran the business from our dining room table as at the time I owned a Turf Accountants business. We quickly saw the potential to be not only a letting agent but a landlord. I sold my turf accountants business and reinvested the money into property and became a full-time property landlord and agent. We have come a long way since then and many landlords who came on the initial MD journey are still with us today.
Izabela has worked in every department at MD Properties before becoming Managing Director. With a wealth of knowledge of the industry and properties within the local area she will ensure that your property is valued competitively.The Company has grown as she works effortlessly to provide a professional yet personal service.
Having taken a back seat from the day to day I am always available to offer my support and advice. I am proud to say Izabela has taken the business to the next level ably supported by our excellent team.
Office Manager Nicola oversees the day to day running and is always happy to help and offer advice to any new or current landlords. With her ARLA accreditation she has extensive knowledge and experience in the Lettings Industry.
Looking for a new property to live, Isabell is our Letting Negotiator. She is responsible for booking viewings, reserving properties, referencing through to issuing contracts and moving you in.
Emma manages the full lifecycle of tenancy check-ins and checkouts, overseeing everything from preparing and conducting detailed inventories to handling all aspects of deposit processing. This includes documenting meter readings and room conditions, ensuring compliance checks such as smoke and carbon monoxide detector testing, and producing accurate inventory and checkout reports. I also calculate deposit deductions, communicating outcomes to tenants and landlords, ensuring a smooth, transparent, and compliant transition between tenancies.
Iwona is responsible for all aspects of the accounts, allocating rent payments to the correct accounts and paying landlords.
Leila carries out thorough property inspections to ensure every home we manage is well-maintained and presented to a high standard. She also oversees all compliance requirements, making sure our properties meet legal obligations and remain safe for our customers.
